I had the great pleasure of sitting next to Mike a couple weeks back at the MSU Comics Forum where he whipped me up this funny gem! Checkered Man vs. Chess Man...I love it! LOL! You can keep up with Mike over at his blog mikeroll.blogspot.com including his wonderful comic Apooka: The World's Most Adorable Zombie! Thanks again, Mike!

FAN ART FRIDAY BY Christopher Villanueva
by Denver on February 10, 2012 at 6:00 AM
Chris is the creator of the superhero webcomic, Victory over at victorycomic.comicgenesis.com which updates three times per week. Whoa. Three per week. Man would I love to be able to kick out comics on that schedule! I love these faux covers folks send me, they're fun, but are you all trying to tell me something? =o)
I'm not gonna lie...I'm kinda geeking out like a fanboy here...you see I'm a big fan of Dan's Rip Haywire. I had the pleasure of co-hosting episode #120 of Comics Coast to Coast with Dan as the featured guest. So, when I was looking for some art for the Fan-Art Friday series, I toyed with the idea of asking him. I asked and later that same day, he sent me this! Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Back on 12/18/11 the fine folks at Outcast Studios hosted their weekly Live Draw Night challenge which included our very own, the Checkered Man! This challenge was in the Autograph round, in which, artists are to make quick 5 to 10 minute sketches of various characters. These sketches are not supposed to be too detailed, but rather just some quick loose sketches. This was more of a warm up exercise than a finished art piece.
There are several cool sketches from that night and I'm going to highlight some of them for the rest of the FAN ART FRIDAYS in January!
You can see more of Paul's artwork at www.aoste.deviantart.com and paulmooregallery.blogspot.com.

Unfortunately, reyalicea is only this artist's handle and I was not able to credit their full name. You can find more of their work over in the Outcast Studios forums here: outcaststudios.com/forums
